Lyssa has had an extensive career in the national security field and is excited to advance Girl Security’s mission of making the national security space more accessible and inclusive. Lyssa spent thirteen years as an Intelligence Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency. She began her career at the CIA as an Intelligence Analyst focusing on East Asia. She then went on to serve in a range of positions in Talent Management, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and Public Affairs. Lyssa has a functional background in DEI and Crisis Communications. Additionally, she has a comprehensive academic and professional knowledge of East Asia. Prior to joining the CIA, Lyssa worked for many years in Washington DC as an analyst in the private sector.
